“On August 1st, 2019 we will start the process of saving our Great State.”
-Meda DeWitt, Recall Dunleavy

August 1st 2019, the Recall Dunleavy group will be kicking off the initial signature gathering events in several cities around Alaska. Events are scheduled for Anchorage, Bethel, Cordova, Fairbanks, Haines, Igiugig, Juneau, Ketchikan, Kodiak, Mat-Su, Salmon Fest, Sitka, Unalaska, Valdez, Yakutat, and potentially more.

Anchorage to host the Recall Dunleavy event at Cuddy Park (behind Loussac Public Library) from 4:30pm-7pm, August 1st 2019.

This is the first of a two-step process required by Alaska law to recall the Governor. In this step of the process, a minimum of 28,501 signatures of registered Alaskan voters needs to be collected. The initial kickoff is anticipated to fulfill a majority of this obligation, however there will be events and signature gathering efforts throughout the state until enough signatures are gathered. At that point, the signatures and Recall application shall be submitted to the Department of Elections to begin the second step for the Recall process.
